Welcome to Dana Hill Farm web portal !!!
We're glad you're here.
Get Involved
Right now, I'm looking for individuals to "own" a piece of this site, share news and keep it updated with information, pictures, etc. about your part of the family tree.
Please email me at admin@danahillfarm.com if you think you'd be interested in helping to add your family news to this site. Thanks in advance! Glen
We had a GREAT time on July 19, 2008 !!!
We met around noon, introduced ourselves to new faces and reacquainted ourselves with friends and family who we hadn't seen in a while. We had brief bit of "dust contol" mid-afternoon that provided a wonderful time under the tents to introduce ourselves, answer some genealogy questions and hear cousin Melvin Torsey share some of his father's (Leon Stevens Torsey's) writings from days gone by.
Among the "first-timers" this year were about a dozen from the Gordon branch of the family tree, including our oldest present family member Helen Gordon (Chester Gordon's widow). They also travelled the furthest, coming from South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Vermont and New Hampshire.
We had ample opportunities for 1-on-1 visiting and shared an abundently blessed New England baked bean supper with homemade rolls, cole slaw, hot dogs, salads, and bread and butter (among other delights).
After supper there was more visiting, live music from the Midnight Express Band (featuring Andy Blake, Galen Marsh and Glen Smith). At dusk came a spectacular fireworks display that would have surely made Aunt Lora Torsey say "My my ...".
To say "thank you" to all of you who helped to make this years' reunion happen seems like it's just not enough. But it's a fact: we could not have done this without you! Thank you for everything each of you did to make this another special time.
If you have any ideas for future famly reunions and/or would like to get involved, please call Glen at 603-968-9036 or 603-455-2468
